Are men indeed pigs or Tigers?

Tiger Woods got quite a bit of headlines and more and more women are claiming a piece of him(and some cash).I am an avid new paper reader and a certain lady called men pigs! I believe she called 'pig' because of anger towards past experience, like how some boys will use descriptive words like 'shi*' and 'F***'. If it is for the nature of how a pig mates, she should have called men baboons. Quoting wikipedia, male baboons can mate with any female baboons! Come to think of it, are men really pigs? Or are they Tigers? hurr...hur...

I personally think the only difference why baboons can do that and men cannot is because of marriage. Marriage has given an emotional attachment to mating. If you go to the zoo and is 'fortunate' enough to see LIVE action, you realize that they mate and leave! They is no cuddle, there is no communication. NOTHING! Animals mate just for reproduction with no string attached. On the other hand, men are designed to mate not just due to physical attraction, but emotional attachment as well.

Is it fair then to blame Tiger? After all, he has built his reputation as a world class sportsman and a family man!

1) We often relate affairs to men. I don't know why, but there is higher percentage of men having affairs than women. I believe it is because of the situation men are in. Men goes to work daily, while women stay home to raise the kids. That is the ideal family situation. At home, you only have your maid, kids and dog. At work, you got many more interesting 'encounters'. You meet clients, you attend meetings and you have interesting colleagues. Throw in the spices like fatigue, stress and overtime(OT), you will be amazed how powerful the term 'That's what friends are for' is when manifested.

With this new era that we are going into, women getting more educated, getting themselves into the corporate world, women will soon be exposed to such 'encounters' mentioned above. For sure, unless something is done in the mind, the numbers of women having affairs will also catch up with those affairs done by men!

2) I think temptation comes with the tempted and the tempter. That is how it works in the mating kingdom right? A male baboon will only mate with a female baboon that is ready to mate(the big huge red ass)! Likewise, a man will only mate with a lady who displays herself as ready to mate. We haven't heard of a man having an affair with an old woman! Look at the women who stepped forward to claim a piece of Tiger. They are tall, slender and have fabulous bodies. Their dress sense make them attractive as well. It is almost likely that these ladies 'avail' themselves to Tiger. Tiger is the first billionaire sportsman. He has endorsements in their millions. He has fame that made him one of the most influential personnel in the World. Now which lady do not want him?

In a previous post about attraction, studies have shown that a woman who just ended her menstrual cycle will be more likely to dress more revealing at a party, compared to when she is in her period. As we all know, when she ends her cycle, it is a new ovulating cycle. I find this study interesting because it does show that human behave very much like animals!

3) Last, and most importantly, people got to change their minds. With all that I shared above, I think the only thing that will stop such things is if the sovereignty of marriage is restored. Marriage is after all a commitment to love and to only love one partner. Unlike animals, God gave human the gift of choices. We choose who we marry,who and what we commit to and we choose whether we allow temptations to crept into our situations.

Then again, women are more educated, they have a career, they are more independent. Will they see the need to have a man to support her? After all, what if men are pigs? Why commit and marry in the first place if commitments are not deemed precious? I believe it is a severe social issue. The only victims are the children, and it will bear emotional and psychological consequences in their upbringing and how they perceive love, marriage and life. It will all then be clockwork, a viscous cycle...
